Hello, and welcome! We are a family of three and a cat. We hosted some students last year and it was an overall good experience for us and so we would like to once again open our home to some kind and considerate international students or those who are here for a working abroad experience.

My name is Min-Hi and I am Korean-Canadian and my husband, Ben is French-Canadian. I have only visited South Korea once in 1984, and my husband visited South Korea in 1993. I have traveled to a few European destinations and of course, many trips to the United States but not recently. :)

I currently work as a special events violinist as well as an environmental educator; my latter vocation reflects an importance in this household with proper practices in composting and recycling, and minimizing the amount of garbage we create here. My husband is in IT, so perhaps some small computer tech support is possible. :)

As for house rules, laundry is in the basement, and we can set a schedule to share it. There is no smoking or vaping or drugs allowed. Responsible drinking is okay. Considerate and respectful students are crucial. One of the last students we had left moldy food and fast food garbage in her room. Please keep rooms free of food and eating areas clean to help prevent bugs and other issues. An occasional overnight guest could possibly be allowed but we would definitely need prior notice. The rest we can discuss when we chat more.

We are pretty easy-going people, and we look forward to sharing our house with you. Thank you!
