I'm Connie, your host. My townhouse has 4 bedrooms and only 4 girls live here including me, no boys. It is located 15 minutes away from CN Tower, west downtown Toronto surrounded by King street, Queen street, Strachan Ave and Adelaide streets but hidden from the loitering crowd. It is right in the heart of the City and is near 2 parks with large public tennis courts and basketball courts: the popular Trinity Bellwood Park and Stanley Park. We are surrounded with residential and commercial buildings. Across from us is a large office building and to the left is another office building. Parkdale Library is only 7-15 minutes away but a 24 minute walk will get you there quickly. Our location is most of the time not affected by brownouts due to storms & heavy rains as downtown has energy priority. If you want to experience living in a million dollar safe home in downtown Toronto, live with us. One other reason why students like my house is that the walls are covered with mirrors from entrance hallway, to living room, dining room and bedrooms. Our main washroom also has big mirror. Our place is near Lake Ontario so fresh air especially at night comes handy. University of Toronto, Ryerson University, York University, OCAD University, George Brown College and many Language schools like ILAC & KAPLAN are just 3-5 km away and will take you only 18-30 minutes to get there by TTC public transit.

Our area is very safe even if you come home late at night, still, a lot of people are on the streets and police cars are patrolling around all night.

King and Queen streets are frequented by mostly young people roaming around the pubs and restaurants until 2 am.

Subway stations nearby are OSGOODE station on Queen Street West and St. ANDREW station on King Street West.

Both stations are 10 minutes away from my place.

Very safe even to walk from subway to my place at night especially patrolling police cars and taxis are all over both streets.
Our house is also secured by a home security door bell camera to shun intruders.

Included in the rent are use of bed linens, electricity, heating, hot water, cookwares, kitchenwares and dishes, unlimited wifi and once a week 2 loads use of washer/dryer. NOTE that you are responsible for your own supplies: bathroom supplies, towel paper, shampoo etc, kitchen supplies, laundry supplies like detergent and stuff. Note also that we don't offer meal of any kind. You will have your own kitchen shelf and fridge shelf. For heavy cooking, I offer use of Rice cooker, Air Fryer, Instant Pot/Pressure Cooker, water kettle and Microwave Oven. Use of electric range oven is limited to more or less 15 minutes to avoid fire. You are also responsible for washing your own dishes and to clean the oven and the mess you created in the kitchen and the bathroom in respect to the next person to use it.

ROOMS:

1) (NOT AVAILABLE) This room is fully furnished with beddings and blankets, has a double bed, white furnitures with thick mattress, desk and office chair, a vanity table with mirror and chair, big closet, and a large standing mirror. This room is currently occupied by a young girl 24 yeas old working full time.

2) (NOT AVAILABLE ) The bottom room is also fully furnished with beddings and blankets. It has an expensive pure wood double bed with armoire headboard, 2 secret storages, 2 mirrors, 2 large side cabinets, a wide student desk, an office chair and a closet full of hangers. The double bed wood frame also has 3 large drawers. This room is currently occupied by another young girl 19 years old who just arrived from Russia with a working visa.

3) (NOT AVAILABLE) IN APARTMENT partly sunken six steps down from the ground, fully furnished with white 55-inch dresser and large 60inch x 36inch mirror, student desk with powder mirror, office chair, book shelf, single size bed with 3 storage drawers at the bottom, linens, blankets, a heater, a fan, a closet has full length mirror with lots of hangers and floor carpet if you want. Bathroom outside the bedroom has a standing shower, a toilet and a handheld spray bidet with hot & cold water. My students love this room as it is cozy and not cold. You could really concentrate in studying here. This room was occupied by a young Japanese girl for 11 months before she went back to Japan. Now occupied by a young girl from South Kores temporarily till Oct 30th.

I am a retired IT Professional/Accountant and I have managed girls aged 18 years old and above specially Coop students for many years. I can certainly help and advise you on your studies or problems at work if you ask for it. I've lived in Toronto since Jan 1973 with over 10 years experience as a host. My hobby is singing Karaoke, shopping and going to the gym.

My students like my place because it has newly been renovated, has clean rooms and no clutters around the house. They maintain their rooms and the house quite well so I expect you do the same. They most specially like the simplicity of my rules. Some of my students told me they looked around for other places and decided to stay for more or less a year. I am also blessed that my students are happy and friendly people.

OCCUPANCY: Minimum 2 months stay required and 2 months notice to move out. First and last month rents payment required first day and $700 deposit required to save the room which eventually will be deducted from first month rent when you arrive.

IMPORTANT
Please present a government issued id, proof of booster vaccination and student acceptance form if available. Thanks.

SMOKING & Other RULES
Strictly NO SMOKING inside or outside the house. No stealing, no alcohol, no drugs, no pets.
Students are responsible in cleaning their own floor inside and outside the door and to lock their doors all the time.
Students are not allowed to cook inside their rooms and to use other electrical appliances except hair dryer to prevent fire.
Students are required to turn off heaters, fan, lights, etc when leaving for school to prevent fire.
Students are required to assign who will dispose their common garbage from the kitchen into the waste bins.
Students are required to clean the kitchen and the washroom after each use in respect to the next person to use it.
Students are not allowed to leave unwashed dishes in the sink.
Students are warned not to interfere with the settings of wifi and other electrical settings including home security systems.
Students are allowed free 2 loads washer and dryer laundry weekends only. No laundry Monday to Friday.
Students are not allowed to use the In Apartment private washroom in respect to the person living there.
No visitor or visitors are allowed without Host permission.
Students are expected to pay their rents monthly on due date. You will receive a reminder day in advance.
Non payment of rent will be considered notice to move out and 2 months notice required will be calculated.
Students and professionals are expected to go to school or to place of work at least 2 times a week.
Students are expected to speak English all the time, talking in your own language are not allowed.

I provide you with a nice place so I expect you to respect it and all the people who live here.

I included almost everything here so no surprises. Other house rules will be posted when necessary.
