Hi Homestay applicants,

My name is Patricia Hayes and I have been hosting ESL students for over 20 years. I worked in education for many years certifying Foreign teachers who moved to Ontario to teach in our primary/secondary schools. I love hosting!! I’ve hosted people from all over the world and individuals of all ages and backgrounds from young high school students to older professionals who come to Canada on their vacation to attend private ESL schools.

I live in a three bedroom house in an area known as the Beaches in downtown Toronto. This particular area is famous for its direct access to Lake Ontario with sandy beaches and a boardwalk that is six kilometres long. During the summer, there are many activities such as beach volleyball, paddle boarding and kayaking. As well as tennis, swimming and lawn bowling. My home is approximately a 10 minute walk to the beach. The area itself is populated with many restaurants and quaint shops as well as grocery stores and and pharmacies.

I currently have a room available for a long term stay. The room has a double bed , a night table and lamp, desk and chair, with a book shelf.The monthly fee would also include access to laundry facilities, unlimited wifi access, cable and full access to the kitchen. As I currently host students, I do prepare meals everyday so this is an option available as well.

My home is about 20 minutes from downtown Toronto. The bus stop is less than a minute walk as it’s right at the top of my street and frequently travels to city center. To travel by subway its also very convenient from my location. It’s a very quick commute to the University of Toronto, Ryerson University and all colleges located in the downtown core, including George Brown, Centennial and Seneca Colleges.

My home is clean and spacious and I provide a safe and
comfortable environment for everyone. I’m friendly and welcoming and easy to get along with.I have attached some photos so please have a look and if my home appeals to you, please drop me a line.

Just to add to my profile that I am excepting students during COVID-19. I practice self distancing and I keep my home extremely clean and I disinfect regularly.
