Homestay in カナダ, トロント

I invite you to join the community of wonderful students who have made my home their own while in a Toronto. Our LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC friendly home is conveniently located close to the Danforth, just north of Greektown and 3 subway stops.

I love learning about other people and places and have done this for many years by living in (6), visiting (over 35), and hosting students (~20) from many countries around this planet we share. Growing up in the U. S., I have lived in Toronto for over 25 years, and will delight in telling you about great sites, experiences, and neighbourhoods to explore while you are in the city. I also enjoy talking about the finer points of the English language, and answering questions about Canadian culture.

In summer, I love to bike places, hang out in my garden, or go to the beach. Year-round, I enjoy going on nature walks near my house or attending cultural events, and would be glad for you to join me.

If you are a musician, there is practice space and an electric piano.

I offer 2 bedrooms. In the past, individuals, couples, 2 sisters, or 2 good friends have enjoyed the large room. The room rate reflects typical costs for usage of electricity, water, and food consumption based on 1 or 2 people.

There is a separate kitchenette for students where you can keep snacks or other foods in the fridge, freezer, or cupboard. I do the main grocery shopping for the house, and students choose to prepare their meals on the schedule that suits them best. If you would like to eat some meals together, we can set some times to do that.

If you like animals, pets, you will appreciate that two cats live in the home.

My house is only for non-smokers. House rules are based on respect for others. For example, keeping your room and common areas clean and tidy to avoid pests. Also, with other students in the home, we respect quiet hours from 11 pm to 8 am.

The house is 3-5 minute walk to the bus, which gets you to the subway in another 5 minutes.
