Hello Students,

My name is Rosita dela Cruz. I am a Filipino/Chinese born & graduated with a B.S.B.A. degree in the Philippines. I came to Canada July 1971 . In 1972 I open my own Grocery Store & still in Business till today. My husband work with the Canadian Airline for 21 years until he retired. We brought our 3 1/2 year old son with us. He studied in Canada from kinder garden till he graduated with MBA degree in York University and at present have his own business. I have a nephew living with me, working as my contact page are jolly, friendly & business oriented people. We are flexible & very easy to get along with. I have no pet.

I have my Home stay for the last 4 years to keep myself happy & busy. This now my 5th year of hosting International Students. I am very happy looking after young kids from other Countries. I feel like having a big happy family We share with each other the different culture we have and the different food we cook in our Countries.

I love cooking ... I usually cook Filipino foods, sometimes Chinese food, Italian food like spaghetti, pizza & assorted pasta & Canadian food. I sometimes prepare Korean food & Indian food that I learned from my student through sharing our food & cultures. I also love gardening, shopping, dancing & watching movies on TV.

My address is 1033 Gerrard Street east. Bus stop is across my Home and it is about 15-20 minutes to downtown by public transit. Very close to many School in downtown and around my Area like Eastern Commerce, Riverdale Collegiate, Ryerson University, University of Toronto, George Brown Colleges and many more. We are 10 minutes walk to small China Town where you can find Chinese & Vietnamese Restaurant & Grocery stores. We are 3 minutes’ walk to Gerrard Square Mall with big Supermarket & food court, 2 minutes walk to McDonald, Pizza-Pizza, Tim Horton and more fast food shops around the area. We also have Chinese, Vietnamese & Japanese Restaurant right beside us. We are 2 minutes walk to Matti Eclair Recreation Center where you can join Dancing, Ta-Chi, Basketball & other Sports.
